Who knows for how long the citizens of Nigeria have been consuming this plastic rice because those Nigerian dubious businessmen and their co-conspirators may have been on this dangerous trade for a long time and if the Nigerian custom service did not intercept this lorry carrying this brand of deadly rice to sell in the Nigerian market, no one would have known or heard about it. How wicked can people be? Some group of dubious individuals would go to a foreign country and import poison for their own fellow country people to eat, all in the quest for quick money. This attitude is very wrong and should be condemned. We (Viewers Corner News team) have written articles concerning the importation of consumable items coming into Nigeria most especially from China. Africans should be careful and mindful of imported foods they eat because in the long run, different sorts of illness could emerge or develop in one’s system and at the end may lead to a painful death. We are saying so because some terrible countries around the world are using Nigeria as a dumping ground. They produce all sorts of harmful goods and bring to Nigeria to sell which is not right. In Nigeria today, lots of diseases which were never heard of in the past are now killing the good people of the country (Nigeria), this may come from the type of food we consume as humans. Therefore we (Viewers Corner News and the advisory team) are appealing to the Nigerian government to set up a standard procedure which businessmen importing goods should follow, we heard that this standard procedure is already in the country (Nigeria) but because of corruption, it has not been very effective and was also being manipulated and compromised. We suggest that a more sophisticated laboratory be set up in some government agencies to test various imported consumable items including those produced in the country (Nigeria). The Nigerian government should protect the lives of her citizens through knowing what they consume which is imported into the country by some dubious and greedy Nigerian businessmen who want to get rich at all cost.
