Nigerians should tell President Bola Tinubu’s government that existing roads which are bad should be fixed first before building a super highway as the government calls it.
Looking at Nigerian roads and how bad they are at the moment, one would begin to ask, if Nigeria as a country has a government?
Honestly, the roads in most parts of Nigeria are so bad, which should have been fixed, but the government of Nigeria left them and began to construct a super highway as the government calls it, which cannot be completed before APC/President Bola Tinubu’s government leaves office.
This super highway project has consumed a huge percentage of Nigeria’s annual budget, and the road has not yet been completed.
Although there is nothing bad if a new road is built, but it would have been better if the existing roads that are bad can properly be fixed before thinking of building another one.
We also believe that corruption is the main reason the government of Nigeria is building a new road because a certain group of people will get some percentage from the project. The Works Minister of Nigeria understands the game too well, which is a fact.
Again, we are calling on President Bola Tinubu’s government to fix the existing roads that are in bad condition across Nigeria because these are access roads to various states in the country.
