Some members of the Obedient family and other Nigerians were a bit disappointed that Mr. Peter Obi and his team did not aggressively confront those Nigerians in Benue state who blocked Mr. Peter Obi and his entourage from visiting displaced victims in Yelewata community in Benue state. Honestly Mr. Peter Obi did the right thing by simply walking away out of the state without problems. We want to also remind those Obedient members that if Mr. Peter Obi had aggressively confronted those individuals in Benue state, there would have been causalities, the government and the law enforcement agency would have had reasons to arrest Mr. Peter Obi, but simply walking away solved lots of problems that would have taken lives. Right now the Nigerian police force has taken up the case, even most of those hoodlums who carried out that attack has already been arrested as alleged which is a welcome development. Honestly Mr. Peter Obi exhibited true leadership and should be commended for that. Again walking out of such problem does not make Mr. Peter Obi a weak person as some Nigerians who had wanted him to physically confront those individuals by putting them where they belong. Sometimes, it is better to just walkaway when such issue comes up and Mr. Peter Obi did just the right thing. We also believe that from now on traps may likely be set for Mr. Peter Obi and his team just for them to fall into and later the government would use it against them. But Mr. Peter Obi is a smart person and cannot fall victim of any trap which politicians in Nigeria would set for him. Hence we are appealing to the Obedient family to calm down, tread carefully and allow the law of Nigeria to take it due cause.
