We (Viewers Corner News) have been following the activities of governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state, our findings revealed that David Umahi is a bad news to Ebonyi state. He has no leadership quality or what it takes to lead the people of his state, he subjected the people of Ebonyi state to a situation that is so terrible, he has no regard for humanity and people are always scared to confront him about that which is wrong. Citizens of various countries worldwide celebrates public holidays as a reflection to mark a specific situation and moving forward for good but during the recent democracy day (29th May, 2016) celebration in Ebonyi state, it was a different ball game altogether. It turned out differently, the thugs from the state who have been fighting for supremacy came to the state stadium to show their strength instead of celebrating and planning on how to move Ebonyi state forward. This resulted to these thugs fighting each other which led to one of the thugs being detained by the police in Ebonyi state and many hospitalized.
We later gathered that one thug leader named Mr Mark Onu (alias Chopper) from Okposi in Ohaozara local government area in Ebonyi state whom governor David Umahi made the Peoples Democratic party youth leader (Ebonyi state chapter) and formally the development state coordinator rode on a horse to Abakaliki township stadium (where the democracy day was being celebrated) and his group were hailing him. Then another thug group leader called Samuel Igwe (fractional national youth leader) from Uburu also came out with his own thugs and on the process, fight ensued which led to severe injuries. Samuel Igwe and his thugs were hospitalized because serious injuries were given to them. We also gathered that Governor David Umahi later ordered for the arrest of Mark Onu (Chopper) but he turned himself to the police in Ebonyi state. The interesting and terrible aspect of all these problems based on our (Viewers Corner News) findings was that governor David Umahi is part of the whole problem because these thugs are his men and they are fighting for supremacy. David Umahi is believed to have another agenda for 2019 so he would want to have real control of power in Ebonyi state hence using any means including the thugs to achieve that purpose. The worst is that prominent men in Ebonyi state Peoples Democratic Party who are supposed to join hands to move the state forward by correcting David Umahi are the ones assisting him to carry out these terrible atrocities in the state because he is sharing the wealth of Ebonyi state with them most probably while majority of the people in the state are faced with severe hardship. Again Governor David Umahi came up with another terrible and deceitful plan to buy four vehicles worth 100 million Naira for some already well to do men in the state which the state house of assembly approved immediately. The recipients of these cars according to David Umahi are Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu (the minister of science and technology). Anyim Pius Anyim (former Nigerian Senate president and immediate-past Secretary to the Government of the Federation), Martin Elechi (the former governor of Ebonyi state) and Dr Sam Egwu (the first executive governor of Ebonyi state and currently Nigerian Senator). However we are yet to confirm which we shall do soonest whether these vehicles have been delivered to these men mentioned above or not. Our take on this is that this huge amount of money (100 million Naira) should not have been approved for David Umahi to buy these vehicles for these men because they are rich enough to buy themselves good cars, we (Viewers Corner News) regard this as wasteful spending. Now this would show Ebonyi state people the type of leaders they have in the state house of assembly, why would such huge amount of money be spent in buying four cars for these men? We assumed that governor David Umahi may have seen the state house of assembly men privately before this approval was made, who knows?
Look at Ebonyi state today, the ordinary people in the state have been subjected to various harsh conditions with his terrible tax policies. Even David Umahi’s commissioners have been reduced to nothing, no official car or bicycle has been given to any of them. Somehow we (Viewers Corner News) believe that a time would come when governor David Umahi may be called upon to give an account of how Ebonyi state wealth is spent and when that time comes, we (Viewers corner) shall bring the news to the world. Honestly governor David Umahi should not be given another opportunity to lead Ebonyi state again come 2019 because if he does, that means more hardship for the people of the state in the coming years which we do not pray it happens. The people of Ebonyi state should wise up now and start planning on how governor David Umahi would be voted out of office in the next election (2019).
