Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State said that the last time a president visited Anambra State, he came to commission two private companies. However, our findings revealed that Professor Charles Soludo was making reference to ex-governor Peter Obi. Now hear our point on this: the last time a president visited Anambra State, before President Bola Tinubu’s recent visit, it was ex-president Goodluck Jonathan. That was during ex-governor Peter Obi’s leadership, and he commissioned some projects built by ex-governor Peter Obi’s government, which governor Charles Soludo is enjoying the proceeds of those ventures till today. Among them are state-owned Orient Petroleum; which made Anambra State an oil-producing state in Nigeria, Onitsha Inland Port, Orange Drug Krisoral; the Parental Drug Factory of Juhel Pharmaceuticals; the Anambra State Secretariat, Dike Library, the Anambra State Emergency Management Complex, Upper Iweka Road; which is eight lanes, and many more. All these were done under ex-governor Peter Obi’s government. So, Governor Charles Soludo, who has wasted years in office doing nothing, is not in any position to speak against ex-governor Peter Obi. As a professor of economics, we had expected Governor Charles Soludo to do better, which he failed completely to do. Instead, he is busy demarketing ex-governor Peter Obi’s achievements. Ex-governor Peter Obi is regarded as the best ex-governor who led Anambra State and shall always be remembered for his great achievements. When ex-governor Peter Obi was in power, the educational system of Anambra State was the best, the children of the state were among the best, and those who took JAMB had great results, but today, under Governor Charles Soludo, who is a professor, everything about education is gone. Hence, we are appealing to the people of Anambra State to reject Governor Charles Soludo if he ever comes to vie for another tenure of office because he has absolutely nothing to offer. So re-electing him to office is going to be a wasted effort, which is the truth.
