The title, Your Excellency, has completely been abused by Nigerian politicians.
We believe that before any leader is called Your Excellency, the process in which the leader in question is elected should be excellent.
But in Nigeria, politicians cut corners to get to power and begin to answer Your Excellency, which should not have been so.
Nigerian politicians will rig elections, using every terrible means to get to power, and in the end, they are addressed as Your Excellency, which is completely wrong, and we see this as an abuse of the word, Your Excellency.
Again, what is more important in every election, which the incoming leader of Nigeria should have in mind, would be to properly reform the electoral system of Nigeria.
A situation where unqualified individuals would not have access to direct the affairs of Nigeria.
Nigerians also believe that having unqualified leaders in positions of authority in Nigeria is among the reasons Nigeria, as a country, is not moving forward, and this has to stop.
