These elderly individuals who are Senators at the National Assembly of Nigeria are not being fair to the people of Nigeria. Now hear this, when issues of sexual harassment concerning Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan and Senator Godswill Akpabio came out, the first thing to be done, would have been to ask Senator Godswill Akpabio to step aside pending the outcome of the investigation. Then, the deputy can carry on with the day-to-day activities of the senate. This is how it is done in most democratic and peaceful countries of the world. Rather, all the Senators at the National Assembly of Nigeria ganged up against Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan which is so wrong. In our opinion, these politicians are trying to silence the voice of Nigerian women in politics. We believe that every allegation brought forward against anyone, especially at that top level should be properly investigated, but the way the matter is going at the moment looks like the Senators at the National Assembly have already taken sides with Senator Godswill Akpabio which should not have been so. Again, we want to remind those Nigerian Senators at the National Assembly of Nigeria that they can be recalled at any time by the people of their various constituencies, if they keep on supporting bad things, instead of doing the right things, so they should be guided. Even former Senators who spoke to a Viewers Corner News correspondent in Abuja revealed that, at the senate, if you speak too much of the truth, other Senators would gang up and make sure that you are suspended just like that, which is very bad.
