One of the reasons Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s ex-vice president, wants the Peoples Democratic Party to zone the presidential ticket to the northern part of the country is so that he can run for the country’s presidency. One thing the people of Nigeria will not forget in a hurry is the destruction of the economy of Nigeria by members of the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria. A political party which led Nigeria for 16 years without laying a good foundation so that others that follow them will have a good starting point. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was a vice president under the leadership of ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo. Under their leadership, 16 billion dollars was allegedly mapped out to give electricity to the people of Nigeria, but up till today, there is no constant power supply in the country and the money can not be accounted for. President Buhari, who promised Nigerians that he would look into that matter, never did. This same Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is telling the people of Nigeria that if he is given the opportunity to lead the country, he will make it work better. The Viewers Corner News team asks, how? Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the past, proposed selling the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) if he becomes the president of Nigeria, which he would likely buy for himself. Therefore, the Viewers Corner News team joins other Nigerians both at home and abroad to say “NO” to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s plea for a president. Let an individual with real knowledge of digital and modern economic management be elected to lead Nigeria in 2023. There are so many Nigerians with such qualities and with zero tolerance for corruption who can get the economy of Nigeria working better, not those with a history of corruption and bad leadership who are parading themselves as millionaires. Perhaps the money was stolen from the treasury of Nigeria. Again, for Nigeria to get it right in 2023, a leader with real knowledge and wisdom is needed to put things right.
