The United States House Democratic leaders have unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump. The Democrats charged President Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Nancy Pelosi, US House Speaker flanked by Jerrold Nadler and others announced articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump during a news conference at the United States Capitol in Washington, DC on Tuesday, 10 December. Jerrold Nadler, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee said that actions had to be taken because President Donald Trump had endangered the United States Constitution, undermined the integrity of the 2020 election and jeopardised national security. He also said that President Trump sees himself as someone above the law. Our correspondent learned that if the House of Representative approves the articles, then the Senate controlled by the Republican would hold a trial to decide whether to impeach President Trump. President Trump was accused of pressuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to launch investigations against former Vice President Joe Biden and his son (Hunter) who served on a board of Ukrainian gas company. Also President Trump’s government withheld about $400 million in military aid from Ukraine as he pressured the country.
