The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed U.S-brokered agreements with Israel on Tuesday to normalize ties among the countries. United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have become the first Arabian Gulf states to break a long aged taboo to normalise ties with Israel. President Donald Trump of United States hosted the ceremony at the White House. In the presence of crowds at the White House lawn, Benjamin Netanyahu (Israeli Prime Minister) signed agreements with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan (Emirati Foreign Minister) and Abdullatif Al Zayani (Bahrain’s Foreign Minister). The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have joined Egypt and Jordan to become third and fourth Arab states to normalize relations with Israel. Egypt signed peace treaties with Israel in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
