When APC/president Buhari’s led government came to power, Nigerians were so excited that the 16 years of terrible leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (P.D.P) of Nigeria was over. Even now that Nigerians are protesting against the president Buhari’s government for not putting things right in the country (Nigeria), still majority of Nigerians believe that his government will deliver in the long run based on our recent survey. However it is only normal that when people start suffering seriously as a result of economic hardship, they have the right to voice out their opinion by protesting peacefully to draw the attention of the leaders of the country showing that something is wrong in the system because the Nigerian masses voted for them to direct the affairs of the country in a better manner which is not moving as it should be. This is the essence of democracy, therefore we are appealing to president Buhari and his government to receive the messages which Nigerians are sending through protest in good faith because those that voted for a change should at least expect to have the change they voted for, even if the change is not coming rapidly but let there be some signs of improvement in the economy which seem not be there. A stronger economic approach is needed to put things right in the country (Nigeria). Our (Viewers Corner News team) recent study conducted on the way forward for Nigeria revealed that the Nigerian government is spending so much money on areas that are irrelevant and such careless and reckless manner of spending can never bring any development to the country (Nigeria). We shall explain more on this topic in our future article. The government should please reassess their economic programs and see if some adjustment could be made. Again president Buhari’s economic team should advise the government properly on issues of job creation and also on international trade policies which should be reviewed and implemented most especially those that would bring more benefits to Nigeria.
