Viewers Corner News team is calling on voters in Kogi state (Nigeria) not to fall into the trap of governor Yahaya Bello at this point in time. His rice mill publicity may be a political game. If he built it, fine but we (Viewers Corner News team) still maintain that governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state (Nigeria) is not practising what he preaches. Any governor in Nigeria who is unable to pay workers salaries and pensioners allowances in his state is a bad leader and should not be re-elected to office. Governor Yahaya Bello falls into this category which makes him a bad leader, take it or leave it, that is the truth and must be told always. The only way we (Viewers Corner News team) can appreciate any governor in Nigeria is if the governor in question is able to pay workers salaries, pensioners allowances and build infrastructures for the people in his or her state. Workers and pensioners in Nigeria would be well off if salaries and pensioners allowances are properly paid to them. It would also reduce the burden in the system, it is a circle. The government would benefit from it if workers salaries and pensioners allowances are regularly paid, but building projects on the air like we (Viewers Corner News team) have seen in some states in Nigeria would take a life time to be completed and somewhere along the line, such projects may be abandoned. It is better to pursue the immediate needs of the people by making sure that their salaries and pensions are paid first, then later you can do your long term project, that should have been the best thing to do as a leader. It is wrong to deny anyone his means of livelihood. A good manager would plan for short and long term projects, execute the one that needs urgent attention while still working on the long term project but if you leave the short term project and put all the money into the long term project assuming, it is likely that before the completion of that long term project, lots of people would have died of starvation because the money they worked for is not getting to them. This is not how a good manager should work, this is exactly how governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state (Nigeria) is operating his system which is not so good for the people. Again, as long as you are owing workers salaries and pensioners allowances in Kogi state (Nigeria), you have no business being re-elected to office for another four years. Workers and elders in Kogi state (Nigeria) deserve to get their money which you have refused to pay them. Look at teachers in Kogi state asking governor Yahaya Bello to pay them their salaries and arrears which he is owing them for months if not years and some people in Kogi state would be campaigning for his re-election. Is this fair? Please forget about what you may have been promised by anyone, assuming such a promise ever happened and think of those who are starving because their salaries and pension allowances have not been paid. It is wrong and should be condemned completely. Teachers in Kogi state and other workers including pensioners, if you all want to get out of poverty, then now is the time to do the needful. If you re-elect governor Yahaya Bello for another tenure, then poverty would continue in the state which we (Viewers Corner News team) hope shall not be your portion.
