THE PAYMENT OF GRATUITIES TO RETIRED CIVIL SERVANTS IN OGUN STATE (NIGERIA) BY THE GOVERNMENT IS A WELCOME NEWS AND SHOULD BE COMMENDED. WE ALSO PLEAD WITH THE GOVERNMENT TO DO MORE SO THAT THE REMAINING CIVIL SAVANTS WOULD GET THEIR MONEY TOO.

Viewers Corner News correspondent in Lagos (Nigeria) learned that the Ogun state government (Nigeria) has paid between 1.5 billion to 54 billion Naira arrears to retired civil servants in the state. This is a welcome news because there is nothing that is as troubling as when an individual has worked through his or her life expecting to be paid when he or she retires from active service and the money would not be paid. This alone can be heartbreaking but now that some of these individuals in Ogun state have received their gratuities as alleged, we say thank you to the government of Ogun state. We also plead with the government to try its best in making sure that the remaining civil servants in the state are duly paid. Sincerely life in Nigeria right now without enough money to get some basic needs can be very bad due to what the economic recession has brought upon the people of Nigeria. However it shall be well as time goes on, is just a matter of time.
