We shall continue to speak on this issue of insecurity across Nigeria until a solution is found. The shortage of foodstuffs in Nigeria at the moment is due to insecurity allegedly caused by the Fulani herdsmen in the country. Producers of these essential items are so scared of going to their farms to plant or harvest their crops because of fear of being killed by the Fulani herdsmen. Somehow a few of those farmers who were brave enough to go and plant their crops were left in shock, having discovered that the Fulani herdsmen and their cows went into their farms and ate up all the crops which they worked so hard to plant. This terrible situation has led us to ask this question: how can the Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria use their own cattle business to destroy other people’s farming business in Nigeria? This is unacceptable, and based on this terrible situation, the Viewers Corner News team is appealing to the government of Nigeria to urgently do something to address this troubling issue. Again, the Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria, who are using their cows to destroy people’s businesses in the country, should be called to order. We would also use this opportunity to inform them that technology has made it possible for those in the cattle-rearing business to go into ranching and do it without stress. Hence, the Viewers Corner News team is calling on the government of Nigeria to adopt such a method so that Nigerians can have peace and also have enough food to buy in the market. We also believe that if this aspect of the issue is controlled, things will return to normal in Nigeria. Another troubling issue is the kidnapping of innocent Nigerians and demanding ransom from them, which has taken the lives of many Nigerians because the victim’s family could not provide the huge amount of money demanded by the kidnappers. Honestly, this is bad. We are again pleading to APC/President Bola Tinubu’s government to look into these issues and have them sorted out so that Nigerians can have peace in their country.
