THE NIGERIAN SENATORS ARE MAKING MOCKERY OF THEMSELVES BY NOT KNOWING WHAT THE CONSTITUTION OF NIGERIA SAYS AND INTERPRETING IT PROPERLY BEFORE PASSING A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ON GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS IN NIGERIA WHICH THEY NEVER APPOINTED. THEY NEED PROPER TUTORIAL ON THIS ISSUE IN ORDER TO WORK EFFECTIVELY.

Information reaching Viewers Corner News through our correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) not too long ago revealed that the lawmakers in the country (Nigeria) would issue invitation or pass a vote of no confidence on any Senior government official appointed by the executive most especially if the Senior officer in question refuses to honour their invitation. Such method is not in line with what the constitution of Nigeria says, therefore we (Viewers Corner News team) urge the lawmakers in Nigeria to study the constitution properly and have it interpreted for them by competent lawyers if they are finding it difficult to understand the technicality and the meaning of various paragraphs that may be confusing to them. Our (Viewers Corner News team) reason for saying so is that the recent vote of no confidence passed on the Inspector General of Police (Mr Ibrahim Idris) or sacking him from office was not appropriate. It is the executive who appointed him (Mr Ibrahim Idris) that can remove him from office and not the lawmakers. Again, if you go through the constitution of Nigeria properly, there is nowhere in any of the paragraphs such action was mentioned, therefore the lawmakers in Nigeria should follow the constitution of the country (Nigeria) nicely when discharging their duties. Time has long gone when the National Assembly of Nigeria would sit and take decision to remove any government official who they see as a threat, even when some of the Senators know that their actions may be wrong, this is a new era. Nigeria shall move forward whether with or without the National Assembly. Nigerians should please join hands and support president Buhari on his quest to make the country (Nigeria) great. A peaceful and greater Nigeria is good for the continent of Africa.
