THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND (IMF) GOT IT WRONG THIS TIME FOR RATING REPUBLIC OF BENIN AS THE FOURTH MOST PROSPEROUS ECONOMY IN AFRICA.

We (Viewers Corner News team) disagree completely with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) concerning the rating of Republic of Benin as the fourth most prosperous economy in Africa. This led us into questioning some findings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) concerning the economy of African nations. It would not bring growth to a country and it is not proper for any country to keep on surviving on imports from other nations of the world which is exactly what the Republic of Benin is engaged in to sustain her economy, without thinking of how to produce some essential products which they rely on other countries of the world to produce for them. Any country who falls in this category we (Viewers Corner News team) just described would remain a dumping ground for all sorts of goods and in the long run, may turn to a beggar nation, that is exactly the road Republic of Benin is heading to based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings. The Republic of Benin is less than 13 million people but rely solely on importation to sustain her economy. In our (Viewers Corner News team) opinion, the alleged rating of Republic Of Benin as the fourth most prosperous economy in Africa by International Monetary Fund (IMF) is misleading and laughable. Even now that Nigeria closed her borders, the country (Republic of Benin) is finding things extremely difficult to make ends meet. We (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on the leadership of Republic of Benin to reduce their reliance on importations because any country who is in the habit of doing so may end up in a very bad way. Now is the time for Republic of Benin to move out of importation oriented economy to a manufacturing based economy. Again, relying on imports as a major source of income may end up hurting the country (Republic of Benin) severely.
