At this point, we are appealing to the government of Nigeria to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu because he has no case to answer. A competent law court in Nigeria has dismissed all evidence presented against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, saying that they all lack merit. So keeping Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in detention should be seen as victimization and injustice against his fundamental human rights. We want to inform the leadership of Nigeria that the way they are handling some issues concerning the citizens of Nigeria has created a very wrong impression of the leadership of Nigeria. Now look at how a sovereign country like Nigeria treats Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case, including others. The world is watching; they know that he did not commit any offence that would keep him in detention up till this period. So keeping him in detention is absolutely wrong. Hence, we are calling on the government of Nigeria to let him go since the law court has declared that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no case to answer.
