President Buhari’s government may have banned government officials from flying first class when they are on official assignment but Viewers Corner News team discovered that the comptroller general of customs in Nigeria, Mr. Hamid Ali flew from London to Abuja was on first class of British Airways (BA flight BA83). We also believe that first class and business class are almost in the same category, what is different is just the name but again if the custom boss decides to fly business class or first class on his own cost then is alright and on that basis, he has not violated the law. Such action becomes a problem only if government fund was used to purchase the ticket for that class, then questions would be asked.
Another good thing now is that Nigerians are beginning to pay more attention in so many things happening around them, this is beautiful and a good process of development. When issues like this is being pointed out, it would assist the government to check the excesses of the government officials, this is part of what democratic system of government stands for. Gone are those days when politicians and senior government officials would use the wealth of the country (Nigeria) for their own private needs while people who made them get to that position are in severe economic hardship. Viewers Corner News team plead with all Nigerians both home and abroad to join hands in pointing out the excesses of these politicians and government officials in Nigeria and in doing so, the country (Nigeria) would achieve a political correctness which would in the long run better the lives of all the citizens of the country (Nigeria)
