The recent attack on the Nigeria Defence Academy in Kaduna is an attack on the presidential villa and all the military installations across Nigeria, including governor’s offices. The government of Nigeria and her citizens should take this issue as very serious one and a huge slap on the leadership of Nigeria. Such acts of terrorism should not be treated with softness. Nigerian media groups should keep on reporting this matter until it gets the necessary attention. This is unacceptable. By now, the Viewers Corner News team expected that President Buhari’s government should have suspended some of those senior military officers in-charge of the Nigeria Defence Academy while the investigation is ongoing. Doing so will reassure the people of Nigeria, both at home and abroad, that the federal government of Nigeria is getting the situation under control. Unfortunately, the government of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Buhari, who is a retired military general, seems not to know what to do on this issue. Also, his advisers are not helping matters either, which is very appalling. The Viewers Corner News team joins other honest and good people of Nigeria to ask APC/President Buhari’s led government, what if the Nigeria Defence Academy was located in another state in the southern part of Nigeria and this act of terrorism happened there? How would the government react? Perhaps by now, the Nigerian army would have sent in tanks and gunboats to level part of that region, which is a double-standard way of doing things. Without missing words, APC/president Buhari’s led government has failed completely to bring security and peace to the country. If bandits could have access to the Nigeria Defence Academy, killed some officers, it shows that the bandits are not acting alone. The Viewers Corner News team believes that it is an inside job and urges the government of Nigeria to investigate properly with all honesty and bring those sponsoring these bandits to face the law. Again, APC/president Buhari’s led government has failed the people of Nigeria completely, most especially on issues of security, corruption, and the economy. At the moment, no part of Nigeria is safe to live in and do business. Recently, it was reported how Christians in Jos were killed in large numbers by bandits. This is also happening in other parts of the country, and Nigeria, as a country, is said to have a functioning government. This is bad and unacceptable. Such an act of leadership failure may not give the ruling political party (APC) the required votes that would enable them to lead the country in 2023, unless some necessary changes are made to put things right as soon as possible.
