Thomas Lubanga, the Congolese ex-warlord who was sentenced to 14 years in jail by the International Criminal Court in Hague is asking the World Court to reduce his sentence because he has been held in detention during the trial. According to Viewers Corner News source in Hague, Thomas Lubanga was jailed for his role in the war that killed almost 60,000 innocent civilians in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His rebel group were also accused of using child soldiers which was wrong and a serious crime against God and humanity, this is an unfortunate incident. When they are fighting the war, they are like kings and anyone who challenges them that time would be killed immediately. Therefore, Thomas Lubanga being in jail would serve as an example to other rebels and the would be rebels who are planning or trying to go into war instead of using diplomacy and dialogue to settle whatever issues or problems they may hold against their government. The prosecutor also accused Mr Thomas Lubanga of interfering from his prison with another terrible case involving another warlord, Bosco Ntaganda (nicknamed terminator) during the rebel war. Thomas Lubanga however denied interfering in any case involving Mr Bosco as alleged by the prosecutor. Only God knows the number of innocent civilians this terrible man called terminator must have killed during the rebel war. May God Almighty have mercy on them for all the atrocities they committed in Democratic Republic of Congo.
