Terrorist groups and bandits in Nigeria are reportedly willing to surrender due to the increased firepower of the Nigerian military, including the recent involvement of the United States.
Information reaching the Viewers Corner News from our correspondent in Abuja reveals that some terrorists and bandits operating in the northern part of Nigeria are now begging for mercy. They are reportedly seeking to surrender their weapons to the federal government of Nigeria as a result of the overwhelming firepower of the Nigerian military.
We use this opportunity to call on the government of Nigeria not to fall for what we see as the deceitful tactics of these terrorists and bandits. These individuals are killers and should be treated as such. The blood of innocent Nigerians they have shed is too much, and they must be held fully accountable for the crimes they have committed against the people of Nigeria.
There should be no misplaced mercy for the wicked. Terrorists and bandits who surrender their arms must be arrested, investigated, and put on trial. If found guilty, they should face long prison sentences that reflect the gravity of their crimes.
Nigeria’s fight against terrorism and banditry must be firm, consistent, and uncompromising. While surrender may indicate pressure from military action, justice must not be sacrificed. True peace can only be achieved when those responsible for violence against innocent Nigerians are made to face the full weight of the law. Strength, accountability, and justice remain the only path to lasting security.
