We (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to Nigerian media companies to kindly be more accurate when any news is being reported because the Nigerian people rely so much on the information they can get from the media companies to make their own judgement on any political issue etc. If any sensitive information is not reported correctly, it could dent the image of the media outfit in the country (Nigeria) and the Nigerian public could also form a very wrong opinion on whom that misleading information was talking about. Therefore it would be nice that every media company should investigate their stories properly before publishing them. Look at this Fani-Kayode’s recent case which some Nigerian media companies published that he was begging to settle out of court concerning the fraud case he is being accused of, the true story is that Fani Kayode and his lawyer never made any such statement. Please Nigerian media always crosscheck your facts before running to put them online or publish them on your news papers, such attitude is misleading and very wrong. Again in any democratic system of government, the media is the key and powerhouse of such system therefore the credibility of every media company should not be doubted in anyway. Please report your news correctly and save the Nigerian public/readers from passing wrong judgement on the innocents before a verdict is pronounced by the competent court of law.
