Ex.governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state allegedly said that governor Alex Otti of Abia state is working well today because President Bola Tinubu was able to release money to him. Hence, he is doing these great jobs in Abia state. Ex-governor David Umahi who is a very corrupt man, who always believe that President Bola Tinubu has done well for the people of southeast, is a man that cannot be trusted because he speaks from both sides of his mouth.
We want to remind ex-governor David Umahi that President Bola Tinubu is not doing favour to state governors in Nigeria by paying them state allocations. Now hear this, releasing money to all state governors in Nigeria is in accordance with the laws of Nigeria which is mandatory for President Bola Tinubu to do. Our point here is this, all governors in Nigeria received such money, but could not use them properly to better the lives of the people of their various states in Nigeria. But governor Alex Otti, who is a great leader has been the only one in Nigeria who uses his state allocation judiciously to better the lives of the people of Abia state which ex-governor David Umahi should not consider as a product of President Bola Tinubu’s gesture. We are saying so because all the state governors in Nigeria received the same money, but could not do much for their various states because of corruption.
Even when ex-governor David Umahi was in office as governor of Ebonyi state, he received so much money also from the government of Nigeria which most of it could not be put into good use or accounted for. Look at the airport he built in Ebonyi state, very soon the airport will be covered with weeds which shall be a topic on its own. Such investment was a wasted one. If ex-governor David Umahi had foresight and also listened to the voices of great thinkers when he was about to build that airport, such mistake would not have been made. Right now, no flight is going there which makes the airport a wasted project.
