It is true that democracy is all about numbers but we (Viewers Corner News team) would also inform professor Ango Abdulahi, an elder statesman from the northern part of Nigeria that there is no way the northern Nigeria can win presidential election in Nigeria without the assistance of the south west and south east including other minority groups in the country (Nigeria) coming together to support a northern candidate. The point we (Viewers Corner News team) are trying to let all Nigerians know is for them to start seeing each other as one, it does not really matter who becomes the president of Nigeria as long as all the benefits of a democratic system get to everyone in the country (Nigeria). Let the best hand be chosen to run the affairs of Nigeria. If a candidate from the north can perform better than the candidate from the south west or south east or any other part of the country, then let the person be elected or appointed to office and vice versa. Again, part of why Nigeria is not moving forward as it should be is that most people in government do not know what leadership is all about. If able hands are elected or appointed to offices, there would be progress which at the end would make all Nigerians be comfortable. Look at how it is in some states across Nigeria, most governors are handpicked and do not know what to do as leaders. The federal government of Nigeria pays them allocations on monthly basis to run the affairs of their states, they embezzle huge sum of money out of the allocations and put the rest on irrelevant projects which would not bring any benefit to the people of their states because they lack foresight and the ability to get the job done properly as leaders which is bad.
