Naama Issachar, a 27 year old American-Israeli woman that was jailed in Russia on drug charges has been pardoned by President Vladimir Putin. According to information reaching Viewers Corner News, a presidential decree was ordered by President Putin to pardon and free Naama Issachar from prison on humanitarian principles. Naama Issachar was arrested in April 2019 at Moscow airport with 9.5 grams of marijuana in her luggage. She was sentenced to seven and half years in prison. She was released from Russia’s Federal Penitentiary Service (FPS) on Thursday and was expected to fly home with Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu who visited President Putin in Moscow. Naama Issachar’s release from prison came some days after President Vladimir Putin met Yaffa Issachar (Naama’s mother) and Netanyahu in Jerusalem.
