The situation in Nigeria today has made citizens of the world talking and those who think or believe that the problems of Nigeria do not concern other nations of the world should better have a re-think. The United Kingdom, the European Union and the United States of America have issued statements of various kinds and at various levels regarding the leadership of President Buhari concerning “Press freedom and rights of all Nigerians” which should be respected. Again, as long as Nigeria is a democratic country, the laws should be followed in accordance with the rules of democracy. The reactions of other countries came when it was revealed that the DSS under the leadership of President Buhari invaded a law court in Abuja (Nigeria) on attempt to rearrest Mr Omoyele Sowore who the law court has granted bail. Based on the information Viewers Corner News correspondent gathered, those leaders in the advance world said that they are watching and following Nigeria’s matters with keen interest and if it becomes necessary to act, then they would not hesitate to do so. On the other hand, what is happening in Nigeria today under the leadership of President Buhari may in the long run make the government unpopular which would affect the political party (APC) come 2023 when the general elections would be held. On that note, we (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to President Buhari and his government to calm down and work in accordance with the rules of democracy which guarantee freedom of the press and respect for the rights of all Nigerians irrespective of political affiliations.
