Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that nine migrants including six children trying to cross illegally to Europe in a speed boat were drowned on Sunday when their boat capsized off Turkey’s Mediterranean coast near the town of Demre in the southern province of Antalya. The bodies of the nine victims whose nationalities have not been identified were recovered by the Coast Guard and five other migrants were saved while one person is still missing. Spain’s maritime rescue service reportedly rescued 240 people trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea from North Africa between Saturday and Sunday.
