Some uninformed Nigerians are misunderstanding the good intentions of President Donald Trump and his government, who are trying to rescue Christians and others being slaughtered in Nigeria by terrorists.
President Donald Trump is not coming to invade Nigeria or seize the country’s mineral resources, as some have wrongly claimed. The truth is that genocide is taking place in Nigeria. A situation where Christians and others are being killed daily like animals, while the Nigerian government does little or nothing to stop the horrible massacres.
Out of goodwill, the government of the United States of America has decided to act and protect the less privileged nations of the world whose citizens are being killed every day by terrorists especially in Nigeria. The U.S. government’s decision to intervene is based on humanitarian concern for Christians and other innocent victims.
We also use this opportunity to appeal to China to stay clear of this matter and allow President Donald Trump to carry out his mission of rescuing Christians and other oppressed Nigerians. If the Nigerian government had done the right thing, there wouldn’t have been any need for the U.S. government to consider stepping in.
Therefore, Nigerians who believe that the United States is coming because of Nigeria’s oil should be properly guided. This is about saving human lives, not exploiting natural resources.
