Ex-governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who led Delta State in Nigeria, was accused by the government of Nigeria of embezzling over one trillion naira while in office as governor of his state. It is believed that when a corrupt politician in Nigeria is facing corruption charges, for the politician in question to get a safe landing, he/she would have to join the All Progressives Congress, which is the ruling political party in Nigeria. Perhaps this could be the reason ex-governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his group moved over to the All Progressives Congress. These were the opinions of some Nigerians who spoke to our correspondent in Asaba, the state capital of Delta State. We believe that a day shall come when a great leader shall be elected to office, and when it happens, those who thought that no one would hold them accountable for destroying Nigeria shall be called upon to give an account of how and why the resources under their care were stolen by them and their associates. It shall happen someday; it is just a question of time. So Nigerians should be hopeful because more good things are coming on the way.
