The people of Nigeria are aware that insecurity, poverty, and economic hardship are now part of the daily lives of most Nigerians. When the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria was controlling the affairs of the country, things were not as bad as they are at the moment, according to some Nigerians who spoke to Viewers Corner News correspondents in Lagos and Abuja. The APC/President Buhari’s led government came to power with the hope of ending insecurity, poverty and economic hardship in the country. Even during the campaign, President Buhari allegedly promised to make Nigeria’s one naira to one dollar, and other promises he made were not fulfilled. Today, Nigeria is worse than APC/president Buhari’s led government met the country when they took over from PDP/ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s led government. This means that the APC/President Buhari-led government has failed the people of Nigeria. The question now is, how will Nigerian voters correct the mistakes of the past in the 2023 election by making sure that a credible leader is elected to office? The Viewers Corner News team has observed most presidential aspirants in all the political parties in Nigeria, and only a few of them can deliver nicely. Most of them are in the two major political parties (APC and PDP), and the rest are in other political parties. The Viewers Corner News team is appealing to Nigerian voters to examine all the presidential aspirants from all the political parties in Nigeria and choose who is best suited to be the president of Nigeria. It cannot be solely from PDP or APC. There are other political parties with great and honest individuals who would work in the best interest of all Nigerians. Such individuals are needed in this critical period of economic backwardness. Vote based on merit, even if the individual is not from the APC or PDP, as long as such a person has all it takes to direct the affairs of Nigeria. Time has come to put Nigeria in the right direction of economic prosperity.
