According to statistics, Nigeria is among the countries in the world where the life of any human being does not matter because of insecurity in the country.

In Nigeria, if you are going out of your home, there is no guarantee that you will return safely without being harmed, as alleged. The reason is that insecurity across the country has reached an unbearable level. Fulani terrorist groups have allegedly occupied almost half of the forests in Nigeria. They reportedly come out of the forest, carry out deadly attacks against innocent Nigerians as they wish, and then retreat into the forest without the government doing much to stop them.

Other bandits are also operating in Nigeria with impunity, which is very disturbing. Recently in Edo State, it was revealed to Viewers Corner News that an influential Nigerian politician, Mr. Peter Obi, and his crew allegedly escaped an assassination attempt by an unknown group. If such a man had been eliminated, some believe the government would not have said much about it and might have regarded it as normal.

This reflects the level of lawlessness in Nigeria, and it may not end anytime soon. In the northern part of Nigeria, human beings are reportedly being killed daily. Instead of the government finding solutions to end this crisis, critics claim they are busy planning how to secure victory in the upcoming election of 2027.

Honestly, Nigeria is in a very troubling state. Leaders in positions of authority are believed to have too many skeletons in their cupboards, and many Nigerians feel unable to speak against them. Even when it appears clear that wrong decisions are being made, citizens fear the consequences of speaking out. Some allege that armed security personnel are used to intimidate and arrest those who criticize the government.

This situation has created fear in the minds of many Nigerians, which is deeply saddening. Many believe democracy in Nigeria is weakening and that freedom of speech is under pressure. Those who are bold enough to speak out are sometimes reportedly arrested and detained.

Again, we are calling on Nigerians both at home and abroad to continue speaking out until their concerns receive global attention and support can come to innocent citizens.
