If the African Democratic Congress (ADC) does not give Mr. Peter Obi a ticket to run for the presidency of Nigeria, moving over to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be a wrong move so long as those untrustworthy politicians who destroyed the PDP remain in the party.
Some of these corrupt politicians including Mr. Nyesom Wike, who tarnished the name of the PDP during their 16 years of leading the country are still active members. Although many of them have now crossed over to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the ADC, they continue causing problems for Nigerians.
Our advice to Mr. Peter Obi is this: so long as Mr. Nyesom Wike is still in the PDP, he should not decamp to the party. Wike is openly working for President Bola Tinubu and this is no secret.
Though some members of the PDP are inviting Mr. Peter Obi to help them rebuild the party so he can be the presidential flag bearer in the 2027 election, the Viewers Corner News joins members of the Obidient family to advise him against moving to the PDP under the current circumstances. The right thing to do is to stay away from a party still burdened with corrupt influences.
We believe the Obidient family and Mr. Peter Obi could help transform the PDP into a credible, corruption-free political party capable of making Nigeria great but only if Mr. Nyesom Wike is no longer a member.
Nigerians have also seen the desperation of Mr. Atiku Abubakar and his unrelenting quest to become president by all means. Mr. Peter Obi and the Obidient family should take note: we do not trust Mr. Atiku Abubakar or those plotting to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027, because when you look closely at their records, they are not much different from Tinubu himself.
If Nigerians allow such politicians to take control of the country in 2027, they may do even worse than what APC and President Bola Tinubu’s government are doing now.
Therefore, Nigerians should reject the ADC if Mr. Atiku Abubakar becomes its presidential candidate.
Once again, Mr. Peter Obi is a credible individual who would perform excellently if given the opportunity to lead Nigeria in 2027.
