The 72-year-old Trinidad and Tobago former FIFA Vice President, Jack Warner was banned on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 for life from soccer by the FIFA’s Ethics Committee headed by judge Hans-Joachim Eckert.
Jack Warner and Mohammed bin Hammam were suspended on May 29, 2011 by FIFA’s Ethics Committee pending the outcome of the committee’s investigation of corruption allegations against them and on June 20, 2011, Jack Warner stepped down from all his positions in International football (FIFA and CONCACAF). Jack Warner and other FIFA officials were arrested at the FIFA annual congress in Zurich, Switzerland in 2015 and charged with wire fraud, racketeering and money laundering and he is now facing extradition from Trinidad and Tobago to the United States for criminal prosecution.
