The Viewers Corner News team will continue to inform the people of the Southeast that former Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State is working for his own stomach by using some people from Ebonyi State to achieve his personal agenda. A man like former Governor David Umahi is telling the people of Ebonyi State that it is not the turn of the Igbos to be president of Nigeria, claiming that when the time comes, he will tell them. Such statements from a man widely viewed as corrupt are nothing but an attempt to mislead his people. Honestly, this is laughable.
From what is coming out of former Governor David Umahi’s mind, it appears he believes he will become the president of Nigeria after President Bola Tinubu’s tenure ends in 2031, which we find amusing. He is now telling the people of Ebonyi State to ignore the Labour Party and the Obidient Movement and instead vote for the APC and President Bola Tinubu’s government in 2027.
We want to remind David Umahi that the majority of people in the Southeast, along with many other Nigerians, are backing Mr. Peter Obi and the Labour Party, or the ADC if Mr. Peter Obi decides to join them. Therefore, no matter the negative campaigns being carried out against the Obidient Movement by David Umahi, they will overcome it.
We also feel pity for Mr David Umahi and his associates, who are plotting what we see as the political downfall of the Southeast by telling the people that it is not the turn of the Igbos to lead Nigeria. We advise them to tread carefully, because if care is not taken, what happened to former Attorney General of Nigeria, Mr. Abubakar Malami, may also happen to them. This is a simple piece of advice from the Viewers Corner News team to former Governor David Umahi and his associates.
The Southeast does not need political figures who undermine its aspirations for personal gain. Statements suggesting that it is not the turn of the Igbos to lead Nigeria only weaken unity and progress in the region. The people of the Southeast know where they stand and who they support. No amount of political manipulation or negative campaigning will stop their collective resolve to pursue fair representation, justice, and credible leadership for Nigeria’s future.
