If the federal government of Nigeria truly wants to end insecurity in the country, they know exactly what to do.

The government is not being honest with Nigerians, especially on issues of insecurity and oil theft. For instance, why would the federal government sit with bandits to negotiate a peace deal? This is one of the most troubling things the Viewers Corner News team has heard in years of covering such stories. What exactly are the bandits agitating for that justifies killing innocent Nigerians? It is absolutely wrong to negotiate with people who murder citizens.

Even worse, these bandits appeared at the negotiating table with guns and ammunition, without any consequences. The truth is, the only language they seem to understand is force. We have also heard that some northern state governors openly admitted they know where these bandits are hiding. So why is the federal government not working with them to eliminate insecurity once and for all? This makes us believe there is more to the situation than ordinary Nigerians are being told.

After the collapse of the so-called peace deal, reports alleged that the bandits launched fresh attacks in parts of northern Nigeria, a shocking but revealing outcome. For years, Nigerians have been crying out about insecurity, yet the government has refused to act decisively, which is deeply disappointing.

Still, we believe a day will come when an honest leader is elected president of Nigeria: someone who will not be afraid of the consequences but will work in the interest of all citizens by giving clear orders to end insecurity in the country. That day will surely come; it is only a matter of time.
