Lagos city is regarded as the commercial center of Nigeria with millions of people living in that city which makes it unique and great but the recent announcement made by the Lagos state government that it would banish the yellow commercial buses (Danfo) in the city this year is troubling. If that decision by the Lagos state government is carried out, it would affect lots of people negatively. We (Viewers Corner News team) are talking about the livelihood of those bus drivers and their owners. What about the services they are rendering on daily basis to the people of Lagos? If they are out of the road, would the Lagos state government be able to fill the empty space their exit would create? Again it sounds so simple when the state government mentioned that the commercial yellow buses would be out of the road this year but in reality it may not be that easy for them to carry that aspect of responsibility which the yellow commercial buses in Lagos have been doing for many years. Please let the Lagos state government reconsider her decision on this issue because the yellow commercial buses have created lots of jobs for those that would have been on the street of Lagos helplessly and if their means of livelihood is taken away from them, they may choose crime as a means to making a living because most of them have no basic training of any kind based on the information Viewers Corner News gather from our correspondent in Lagos (Nigeria). Therefore as the Lagos state government would be putting them out of work, please make sure that an alternative plan is put in place for them so that they can earn a living for themselves and their families.
