IBRAHIM MAGU, THE ACTING CHAIRMAN OF ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL CRIMES COMMISSION (EFCC) COULD BE RIGHT WHEN HE ALLEGEDLY SAID THAT CORRUPTION IS THE REASON FOR AGITATION IN THE COUNTRY (NIGERIA). WHAT CAN THE GOVERNMENT DO TO END THIS PROBLEM IN THE COUNTRY?

Corruption in Nigeria has grown so big in the sense that it has affected every part of the country (Nigeria). Perhaps one of the reasons is that the laws of the country is not being implemented or enforced properly to control this problem. The judiciary of Nigeria which is supposed to be neutral and assist in putting things right is being compromised by some Nigerian politicians which means that your money can buy you justice even if you kill anyone. We (Viewers Corner News team) have also seen how Nigerian politicians created a high class for themselves in the past by allocating oil blocks to themselves and their close friends leaving those communities from where those petroleum products are being collected to suffer severe hardship instead of developing those areas. We have also seen how various appointments and other good things in the country (Nigeria) are being allocated to various states in Nigeria. We can go on and on to describe this aspect of injustice in the country (Nigeria). Another problem facing the country (Nigeria) is coming from the Nigeria senate, this group of lawmakers there are not doing their work nicely because their hands are already dirty and anyone appointed by the federal government of Nigeria to head any agency in the country (Nigeria) who would not play dirty games with them may not be confirmed, such attitude from the lawmakers is bringing the country (Nigeria) backward. However all of what we have written above put together have contributed negatively to why the country (Nigeria) is not moving forward and agitation coming from various communities within the country (Nigeria) wanting to secede from Nigeria. Now the answer is this, a more strong leadership that will implement and share equal economic gains for the people of the country (Nigeria). Enforce the laws of the land no matter the amount of wealth or how influential anyone would be, let the law of the land be applied in an honest manner without manipulations. This is the only way confidence among people of the country (Nigeria) can be built and perhaps agitation of any sort would end.
