If Mr. Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria, cannot bring the problems in his political party to an end, what makes him think that Nigerians are going to trust him to fix the problems of the country? If he cannot get the aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria to agree to a settlement when the election campaign has already started, then something is wrong somewhere. We have written articles in the past concerning this issue. The only way forward for the Peoples Democratic Party is to ask Mr. Iyorchia Ayu to resign as National Chairman of the party, so that Mr. Atiku Abubakar can carry all the members of the party along. But as it is now, Mr. Atiku Abubakar wants Mr. Iyorchia Ayu to stay till after the election, which does not go down well with other members of the party in the southern part of Nigeria. This only means that Mr. Atiku Abubakar’s quest to be the president of Nigeria in 2023 is already lost because the aggrieved members of the party from the south are certainly going to switch lanes, which in the end will hurt Mr. Atiku Abubakar’s bid for Aso Rock-Villa.
