Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State in Nigeria threatening Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party for visiting his state is uncalled for.

One thing some of these governors in Nigeria fail to understand is that power is temporal; it is not a lifetime project. Meaning that every elected governor or president shall leave office someday. So the best thing to do as an elected official is to try your best and do the job for which you were elected so that when you leave office, you will always be remembered for the good works you did for the people. Again, threatening a citizen of Nigeria for visiting your state is not necessary; hence, we are appealing to Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State to be mindful of his words and choose them carefully when he is speaking to Nigerians. Do not allow some politicians with evil agendas to push you into doing what you would regret in the future. The people of Edo State are saying that they will vote Governor Monday Okpebholo out of office in the next election. Meaning that you may likely be a one-term governor because of your recklessness and inability to do your job as the governor of Edo State. In Edo State, insecurity is huge, which the governor is unable to control so that the people of Edo State can have peace. We are pleading with those advising and writing speeches for Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State in Nigeria to educate him on how certain words are pronounced so that he would not be embarrassing himself and the people of Edo State at all times, because the mistakes that Governor Monday Okpebholo is making each time he speaks cannot be made by a primary school pupil. So he needs more tutorials in these areas as a governor of a state before ever coming out to threaten someone in the public.
