GOVERNOR EMEKA IHEDIOHA OF IMO STATE SHOULD GET DOWN TO REAL BUSINESS BECAUSE FOUR YEARS IS NOT FOREVER, THOUGH HE HAS STARTED NICELY WHICH IS GREAT.

Imo state (Nigeria) deserves to have the best at all times. Our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent in Owerri (Imo state) saw governor Emeka Ihedioha inspecting some completed projects in the state built by ex-governor Rochas Okorocha’s administration. Some of those projects which were said to have been built under ex-governor Rochas Okorocha’s administration did not worth the money spent in those projects. The surprising aspect during the inspection was how badly the construction of those projects were, so the decision of governor Emeka Ihedioha to establish a committee to probe ex-governor Rochas Okorocha is quite appropriate. There should be accountability in everything we do at all times. We (Viewers Corner News team) still recall how ex-governor Rochas Okorocha allegedly spent 650 million Naira to celebrate Christmas while workers salaries in Imo state (Nigeria) were not paid and so on. Corruption under ex-governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state (Nigeria) was so huge which should be looked into and how Imo state allocations were spent during ex-governor Rochas Okorocha’s tenure which hopefully should be made public because the money was meant to create facilities that would uplift the living standard of the people of Imo state and not ex-governor Rochas Okocha’s personal money.

We (Viewers Corner News team) are in support of governor Emeka Ihedioha’s plan to probe ex-governor Rochas Okocha’s activities while in office. Nigerians are people with forgiven heart that is why their leaders are able to manipulate them always. If a governor for instance who embezzled billions of state money is no longer in power, the moment he or she does a little charity work in the country (Nigeria) spending few cash and celebrating with the needy, everyone in Nigeria would forget the governor’s terrible past records and start singing praises for the governor. Somehow it is good to appreciate them for helping the needy when they are no longer in office but that does not mean that their past atrocities should not be brought forward or probed. If they had done the right thing when they were in power, their states would have grown to take care of all the pressing needs of their people but corruption and selfishness were their agendas, hence they could not get the job done properly which is bad.
