GOVERNOR BEN AYADE OF CROSS RIVER STATE (NIGERIA) IS AMONG THOSE GOVERNORS OPPOSING LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTONOMY IN THE COUNTRY (NIGERIA). PLEASE RESIGN NOW IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH SUCH ARRANGEMENT.

The Cross River state (Nigeria) governor (Ben Ayade) has never supported the autonomy of local government in Nigeria. He (governor Ben Ayade) wants the local government in Nigeria to remain the way they were so that all their allocations would be collected by the governors as usual. We (Viewers Corner News team) would like to remind governor Ben Ayade of Cross Rivers state (Nigeria) that no matter his opposition to local government autonomy, the system has come to stay because majority of Nigerians both home and abroad are in support of this beautiful system. If you look at local government in Nigeria, they are underdeveloped because state governors in Nigeria are not giving them what rightfully belong to them so that they can run their affairs on their own without being manipulated by governors in Nigeria. Again each time allocation gets to governors, they give local government in their states peanuts and pocket the large part to themselves which is not right but now that the local government in Nigeria can get their allocations, they should be able to plan and get things done the right way. If any governor in Nigeria is not comfortable with this arrangement of local government autonomy, such governor should please resign. Some governors in Nigeria can not keep on manipulating the local government as they wish. We (Viewers Corner News team) applaud the federal government of Nigeria, the Senate and others who made the local government autonomy in Nigeria possible. Viewers Corner News team would also plead with local government authorities in Nigeria to kindly use their monthly allocations to improve their various communities so that the people would have every reason to be happy. Avoid corruption and recklessness, spend your allocations judiciously because the money belong to the people of your community. Any deviation would attract the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to pay you a visit.
