German Defence Minister, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer told a gathering of German conservatives in Bavaria on Tuesday that Iran has responsibility to de-escalate tensions with the United States. Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer blamed Iran for increasing tensions in the region and she advised the country (Iran) to avoid escalation of tensions in the middle east after the U.S airstrike killed Iran’s top military commander (General Qassem Soleimani) last week Friday in Baghdad. She also stated that Germany would want the international military alliance fighting Islamic State militants to continue but all decisions depend on the Iraqi government.
