FOUR UNITED NATIONS PEACEKEEPERS AND A MALIAN SOLDIER WERE KILLED AND ABOUT TWENTY ONE WOUNDED IN RECENT ATTACKS IN MALI.

Four United Nations peacekeepers and a Malian soldier lost their lives on Friday, November 24, 2017 and many others wounded in two separate attacks by unknown terrorists in the country (Mali). According to the report, the first attack happened during a joint operation in the northeastern Menaka region near Mali border with Niger, three peacekeepers and a Malian soldier were killed while sixteen peacekeepers and one civilian were injured. The second attack which happened later on the same day was targeted at MINUSMA convoy in the central Mopti region, one United Nations soldier died and three others injured. In Mali, French soldiers, United States soldiers, United Nations forces and Regional armies (soldiers from Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Burkina Faso and Chad) are battling to stop the attacks of terrorists with some having links to Islamic state and al Qaeda.
