Former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, including those who led Abia State in the past, should be ashamed of themselves whenever they visit the state.

If not for Governor Alex Otti, a leader who has chosen to focus on rebuilding Abia State after years of destruction by past governors who looted resources meant to make the state great, many of them should have been in prison by now. The Viewers Corner News team observed the level of development in Abia State today, and when compared to the period when former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and his group of looters were in office, Nigerians would hardly believe that Abia State could ever develop to this extent.
However, thanks to Governor Alex Otti, the people of Abia State can now breathe a fresh air in every aspect of development.

Former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu once proudly told the people of Abia State that he brought Domino’s and a cinema to the state after spending eight years in office looting public resources. This is shameful. Such leadership deserves nothing less than jail time for the damage inflicted on the people of Abia State, along with other past leaders of the state.

Furthermore, the achievements of Governor Alex Otti cannot be mentioned without acknowledging Professor Nnenna Oti, whose integrity made it possible for Governor Alex Otti to assume office. If Professor Nnenna Oti had been corrupt, there is no way the level of development seen in Abia State today would have been possible. The Viewers Corner News team therefore applauds Professor Nnenna Oti for standing firmly by the truth.

Abia State is a clear example of what happens when leadership is driven by integrity and accountability instead of greed. The contrast between the past and the present is obvious to anyone who visits the state today. While past leaders should reflect in shame over their actions, the people of Abia State now have renewed hope under Governor Alex Otti’s leadership. Truth, transparency, and responsible governance remain the only path to genuine development.
