The Western countries cannot survive fully without needing the natural resources of countries on the continent of Africa. So African countries should take such an opportunity to make nice deals with Western countries. Look at Burkina Faso for example, and other Sahel states; they are better than they were in the past because of their determination and the ability to use what they have to get what they need. If the Sahel states can do that successfully, other African countries can do that too. Our point is that any country on the continent of Africa that wants to work with the Western world should do so by making nice deals that would create jobs for the people of Africa. Countries on the continent of Africa should not be raw material-producing nations only but should also be finished goods-exporting nations. African countries should not take loans that would not be favourable to them. Taking loans with huge interest rates is part of what is bringing countries on the continent of Africa backward. Hence, we are appealing to African countries to make sure that they do things properly within their limits by negotiating nicely with whoever is ready to work with them to achieve success.
