Bernhard Guenther, a 51-year-old German was attacked with acid on Sunday, March 4, 2018 by two young men after he left his home to buy breakfast at a nearby bakery near the western city of Duesseldorf. According to the report our correspondent gathered, two unknown men between the ages of 20 and 30 poured the acid over his head and ran away. Mr. Guenther managed to reach his home where he made an emergency call and helicopter rushed him to a special clinic. Bernhard Guenther who has been severely injured by the attack is an executive with innogy SE, a subsidiary of German electric utilities company RWE. Police said that a homicide division is investigating the case.
