A DEMONSTRATION IN IRAQ ON TUESDAY BY PROTESTERS HAS CLAIMED THE LIVES OF TWO PEOPLE AND WOUNDED MANY.

Our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent in Baghdad reported that two people were killed and about 200 wounded on Tuesday, 1 October 2019 when the public protested against corruption and poor public services in Tahrir Square (central Baghdad, Iraq). According to the report, the protests which turned violent erupted in several cities as well as the capital Baghdad and the Iraqi security forces fired live bullets, tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protesters. Iraqi officials said that those wounded includes 40 members of the security forces.
