Paul Biya of Cameroon

A 92-year-old president, Paul Biya of Cameroon, who can hardly remember a state in his country, is planning to contest for another election in Cameroon, as alleged.

The youths of Africa and others are complaining of poor governance, but they are not doing anything to end such a practice. Looking at President Paul Biya of Cameroon, who is not in his country most of the time because of his health conditions, at his age, he has indicated interest in running for another tenure of office, which he is likely going to win in a fraudulent manner. France and other Western countries do not see anything wrong with such an arrangement because they are benefiting from him, which is bad.

In all these issues, we blame the youths of Cameroon for allowing such a man, who can hardly remember where he is at any given time because of his age, to stand for another election. Based on this, the Viewers Corner News team is calling on the people of Cameroon to reject President Paul Biya’s bid to run for the office of the president of Cameroon. He is too old for the job; the people of Cameroon should learn from Capt. Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso and do the needful.

The time has come for countries on the continent of Africa to stand on their feet if they truly want to achieve growth. Not too long ago, we saw a very old man who allegedly was a minister in Uganda campaigning to be the president of the country. This man can barely stand on his feet without people supporting him to stand. In Uganda, there are highly qualified individuals to manage the affairs of the country, but they are not given the opportunity to do so, which is very sad. African youths should wake up and start doing the needful. Let the best individuals be in positions of authority in countries on the continent of Africa, and in so doing, they can achieve steady growth.
