German authorities have arrested a 29-year-old Syrian man identified as Ahmad A. A. who is suspected of being a member of the Islamic State group. According to the report, the man was arrested on Thursday, May 5, 2016 in the Leipzig region. He joined a military unit of the Nusra Front in Syria and become the unit’s emir in the Raqqa region. He also took part in the conquest of two towns (Dibsi Afnan in Novemer 2012 and Tabka in February 2013). Then after the Nusra Front clashed with the Islamic State group in 2013, he defected to the Islamic State group.
