The federal government of Nigeria is up to date in paying allocations to various states in the country (Nigeria). In this monthly allocations, salaries of workers are included but to our (Viewers Corner News team) greatest surprise some state governors in Nigeria have refused to pay workers in their various states their monthly salaries. In our calculations, almost every state in Nigeria is owing workers months of unpaid salaries. This attitude is quite alarming. Now if these workers are not paid, how would they be able to feed their families? Viewers Corner News and the advisory team would want to remind all the state governors in Nigeria that one of the greatest projects which a governor in any state would implement is to make sure that workers’ salaries are paid promptly and pensioners’ allowances paid too as at when due but instead of doing so, most of these governors in Nigeria would choose to invest workers’ salaries on irrelevant projects in their various states and pocket the rest which is bad. Viewers Corner News and the advisory team would use this opportunity to plead with the Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) to direct their plea to the state governors in the country (Nigeria) and not the federal government of Nigeria. President Buhari’s government has never failed in paying allocations to state governments but the problem is misappropriation in-terms of wrong investments and corruption by various states governors in the country (Nigeria). As a strong Christian group (CAN), continuously speaking to various state governors in Nigeria would let them hear the voice of reasoning and perhaps encourage them to do the right thing.
